Felis

The felis is a family consisting many different species that live on Lunaria. They generally look very feline-like, occasionally may also have slighly fox-like muzzles. They are agile and almost all of the species are capable of climbing trees. They are part plant and grow leaves on their back and flower/s in the tail. They have sharp teeth and claws for defence and their pawpads collect important nourishments from the ground.

Behaviour

Most felis are very territorial and will defend their territory violently. 50% of the felis live completely independently, only seeking a partner on the breeding season. 40% of the felis live in small groups, normally containing their partner and offsprings that have yet to find their own partner. 10% of the felis live in big packs.

For the northern species the breeding season is at spring, following up summer when they are raising their cubs. At autumn, the cubs of the independend felis normally leave to find their own territory. Tho there are more group oriented felis living in the north.

On the south there are two breeding seasons, winter and summer. Some felis species on the south leave the seeds on their own and the cubs will often together learn to survive instead of being raised by a parent.

Diet

Most felis species eat berries and fruits as their main meal, tho some are also omnivorous. Omnivorous felis are more commonly found from the north due to the amount of berries being very small at winter. The paws of the felis are also capable of gathering nourishments from the groud, mostly important for the health of the flowers. Especially right before and after the breeding season the felis use their paws to gather nourishments, tho they cannot survive only this way.

Breeding

The breeding works through the flower, the felis shake their tails together to mix their pollen. There are no male or female felis, instead they have both genders in the flower. However they cannot have an offspring alone or with a sibling, the seed will die instead. The felis are capable of smelling when the partner is okay.
